Year 3

We have Year 3 group classes at Harris Academy Purley and Harris, Sutton. These
are run in the weekends.
 
Year 3 group lessons are run by other well experienced and friendly teachers (fully
D.B.S checked) based on lesson plans and homework provided by Mrs Pillai.
Maximum 8 children in a group.
Weekly lessons will last 2 hours. Feedback is given after every lesson. Classes run
from September to July. There will be a 2 week break for Christmas & New Year and
a week off for Easter. Year 3 will have summer holidays off too. 
Fees are £22 per hour, £44 per 2 hour session. Fees are payable monthly in
advance by bank transfer or using childcare vouchers as we are OFSTED
registered.
There is an additional monthly fee of £23.99 per month for the detailed marking and
feedback of creative writing. This is paid as a PayPal subscription using a discount
code to www.learn2write.co.uk
The syllabus covers Year 3 and Year 4 content of KS2 in English and Maths. The
aim is to get the students to as close to a Year 4 level by the end of Year 3.
Homework is set through Dropbox by email after every session. Year 3 students can
expect to receive homework that will take them 20 minutes a day, 5 days a week to
complete. This will include Maths, a writing task and/or comprehension every week.
They will have term exams and an end of year exam.
